After almost two years as an employee, Chandra Hicks, event coordinator for Howard University’s Office of Admission, will resign effective tomorrow, Sept. 7.

In an exclusive interview with The Hilltop, Hicks said that her final decision to leave came over the summer after attempting to assist in changing the Howard Student Ambassador Program.

As the event coordinator, Hicks served all major Howard University events pertaining to the Office of Admission and recruiting. Her responsibilities included
overseeing event directives and initiatives from the President’s Office, serving as the direct supervisor for the full-time Admission Representative within the Howard University Welcome Center and was responsible for orienting and training an average of forty (40) student ambassadors in the Howard University Welcome Center.

Hicks said she will be going to Trinity Washington University and will serve as the director of conferences and events.
