Kenya’s Efforts to Save Haiti Are On Pause, But What Exactly Is the Country Saving it From?

On Season 2 of the show, we will continue our weekly roundups of the latest news and campus buzz, courtesy of Howard University’s collegiate newspaper, The Hilltop. New episodes every Friday.

The U.N. passed a resolution last month, that approved a multinational guard led by Kenya, to help quell the unrest in Haiti. The group would have comprised of forces from Kenya, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Antigua and Barbuda. However, leaders from the East African nation said they are waiting to send troops until funding and training conditions are met.
